Luck Number Seven. Both highlighted issues this week are the seventh in their respective series. They are joined this week by two youth books which we have begun adding to the store. They are highlighted in red below. We will include these each week whenever possible and encourage you to check them out on the counter display near the register.

Firefly is just too few pages. Each issue I feel I need just a little bit more than the pages have. Mal and Zoe are now parted by fate, each working there angle to try and resolve the issues at hand. It is nice to see a writer run parallel stories which you can tell will end up with a moment of heartfelt joy once they converge again. I look forward to issue 8.

Daredevil was interesting this issue. The previous arc was simply amazing and the tone for the second has a sound feeling of freedom for Matt, but that lingering desperation by the people of Hell’s Kitchen. I have no doubt I will finish the arc which will likely set a record for my interest in the character. I would put this next to the Kevin Smith Guardian story as far as key points for the character and look forward to what may come next. This book sells out for a reason, if you missed it, order the collected edition and you will not be disappointed.
