Sorry this is a little late in the day. I had to read a few back issues again to get the sense of where I left off. A couple below stand out but if I were to add a third, Sea of Sorrows deserves to be part of the blue list. Rules are rules though, so here you go.

Barbaric #1

Not gonna lie, the advertisement for this did not get me. I ordered it based off the number of late requests after the cut off, which I had to scrounge to find copies. If you follow the link on the blue title you can read the ad, but a barbarian named Owen? Come on. That is what I get for being judgmental. The book is fun. Yeah the cursed axe speaks drunk, the content is definitely 18 years and older but other than that… The first two issues have given the reader cause, companions and a few good chuckle. The artwork does the job, the colors could be more varied (lot of orange) but the panels deserve spending a minute on. If you like Conan, Red Sonja or barbarians in general, spend the money.

Something Is Killing The Children #7

This book took off so well I let it pile up. This is what happens with one I want to read rather than have to read.

Erica, the lead character is currently dealing with family members coming into town to address her supposed failure. The writing definitely sways you to want to defend the character which is cool because prose sometimes does not get you that involved. The monster’s offspring quickly help bring your focus back and I always find myself wanting to grab the next issue. no you can’t, next week,, it has to wait 🙁

Caught up on about 30 different books this week finally. I enjoyed parasomnia 1 even though it was a little weird. Mamo surprised me a little bit and was a fun read but barbaric was one of my favorites out of everything this week along with Nice House on the Lake #1-3, king spawn, and Echolands.

Cool! Way to get through a stack. I had to bump mine this week for the new catalog. Speaking of which, better hurry!
