I’ll make this one brief as it’s been awhile. Over the past few months we’ve rolled out quite a few frontend items, which now includes Toys, on the user side. So let’s dive right in!
Toys
Starting with the August 2017 issue of Previews, Toys will be available for pre-order and purchase from Modern Age Comics. Note that member discounts do not apply for toys, only comics and magazines.
Subscriptions
While it’s not a true “set it and forget it” subscription, we’ve rolled out our own type of subscriptions. Rather than digging through Previews each month, you can simply go to your Subscription page and see upcoming issues from titles you’ve purchased in the past. Don’t want to see a title? No problem, simply remove it from your page. Note: we have some bugs here we’re still working out, but it mostly works.
Search By Issue #1
The shop now features a Show #1 Issues Only checkbox that will, you guessed, show you only number #1 issues. We’ve also included #0 issues in that, because that’s a thing these publishers like to do.
Series Archives
You can now also view archives of each series (well, each series that Diamond allows us to archive). Wherever available, you’ll see a ‘View Series’ link next to items which will allow you to view all issues and covers from that series.
Backend Changes
We’ve made nearly a hundred backed updates and changes to make things go more smoothly for everyone. We don’t need to get into the details here other than to say you’re getting a fuller and smoother experience because of it. Jesse reaps most of the benefits here. You’re welcome Jesse!
Upcoming Fixes
We still have a few minor annoyances we want to work out, so watch for these:
- Better Weekly Pickup Emails
- Ordering of the archives (WordPress [the system we use] default is 1, 10, 11, 2, 20, 3, 35, 4)
- Alphabetical ordering of the Subscription page (right now it’s most alphabetical, with some hiccups)
- Add Titles/Headings to Subscription page
- Show All Ages books only
