Nerd Alert: Development Update 1.2.0

In an effort to keep everyone apprised of the happenings and goings on here on the website, Jesse and I have decided to blog about new updates to the site.

First, my name is Jake Caputo. I’m a designer and developer working out of DesignCrumbs.com and I’m the Director of Design at ActionNetwork.org. More importantly, I read a lot of comics. I’ve been a Modern Age Comics customer since 2013. Jesse asked if I’d build a new site for him, and here we are. I take care of the user interface and the frontend development, while my partner on this site, Spencer Finnell, has been doing a lot on the backend development.

We have a simple goal: Make the pull list easier for both sides of the Modern Age Comics counter.

Since we launched a few weeks ago, we’ve been adding features and smashing bugs like:

So without further ado, here’s a quick timeline including most of the features and bug fixes we’ve made. I hope to continue blog posts like this with each future release.

Everyone,

FYI, Internet Explorer users will have some trouble. For now, please use Google Chrome if you can.

This Wednesday 1/25 releases have been added. You may pick your items if you want, we will compare it to your current service (manual or Comixology) to double check it.

Adult content items will be removed going forward. We do not have security filters on that yet and it also is a minimal use product. If you want these, just send an email or let me know.

We have had a few requests for subscription buttons. Down the road will will look at it but we wanted to get data in first and see what is what. Not out of the question, just not there currently.

Nothing is unimportant. This only gets better is we use it and communicate.

DC’s Batman/Flash Crossover Ships in April with Lenticular Covers

This April, explore the greatest mystery of DC Universe: Rebirth in “The Button,” a four-part event starring Batman and the Flash! Adding to the excitement surrounding this story, these special issues each will feature a new, lenticular cover!

Because of the accelerated production schedule for lenticular covers, DC is soliciting these issues outside of the PREVIEWS Order Form.

The Dark Knight and The Fastest Man Alive, the two greatest detectives on any world, unite to explore the mystery behind a certain blood-stained smiley button embedded in the Batcave wall. What starts as a simple investigation turns deadly when the secrets of the button prove irresistible to an unwelcome third party-and it’s not who anyone suspects! It’s a mystery woven through time, and the ticking clock starts here!

The four-part epic “The Button” begins in Batman #21 and The Flash #21 in April, and continues in Batman #22 and The Flash #22 in May.

Beta Test Feedback is greatly appreciated

Guys,

First thank you for spending the time and helping with the testing. It is easy to lose time when trying to work on function and still pay attention to the entry pieces.

Second, nothing is unimportant. Tell us anything you do not like or that is missing.

I appreciate the kind remarks for Jake, I will be sure to express them as often as possible.

Cheers!
